Problem Note 67264: SAS® Studio allows cross-site scripting via a maliciously formed SVG file

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Severity: Medium

Description: SAS Studio allows  cross-site scripting via a maliciously formed SVG file.

Potential Impact: A user might execute malicious code unknowingly.

Solution: After you install the hot fix for this issue, you can configure a new property called webdms.allowResultsActions that can be added to the config.properties, file as described in "Setting Configuration Properties" in the SAS® Studio 3.8: Administrator's Guide. For this property, you can specify values of TRUE or FALSE. A value of FALSE hides the mail, print, and open in new browser tab options in order to prevent display of potentially malicious SVG files in such a way that allows the browser to execute the malicious content.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
