Installation Note 67887: The error "ERROR [unknown] org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase. . ." occurs after a standard deployment of SAS® Model Manager 14.3M1
After a standard deployment of SAS Model Manager 14.3M1, the following error is generated:
ERROR [unknown] org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/SASModelManager].[rest] - Servlet.service() for servlet [rest] in context with path [/SASModelManager] threw exception
com.sas.svcs.config.client.ApplicationNotFoundException: Application 'Model Manager Mid-Tier 14.2' does not exist. Is it appropriately registered for the underlying data implementation?
This error does not affect the functionality of SAS Model Manager. It occurs because the web.xml file that resides in SAS-configuration-directory/LevN/Web/WebAppServer/SASServer11_1/sas_webapps/sas.modelmanager.rest.war/WEB-INF/ contains a reference to release 14.2 instead of 14.3.
<context-param>
<param-name>application-name</param-name>
<param-value>Model Manager Mid-Tier 14.2</param-value>
</context-param>
To work around this problem:
- Change the release in the file to 14.3.
- Restart SASServer11_1.
Note: This manual workaround is no longer available when you rebuild and deploy the web application or when you apply a hot fix to SAS Model Manager.
