Problem Note 67049: Issues that are addressed in Hot Fix 6.2.2 for SAS® Event Stream Processing
Hot Fix 6.2.2 for SAS Event Stream Processing addresses the following issues:
Fixes:
- The Java SSL-enabled clients now import all certificates in a ca.pem file.
- In PI Web connector/adapter publisher, when there is a value type mismatch and "Good" = false, it does the following:
- gives a log warning instead of an error
- writes a null datavar
- continues processing
- In the Kinesis connector/adapter publisher, fixed the retry logic for GetRecords() failures.
- Fixed an issue with stopping the Kinesis publisher connector/adapter when the connector/adapter handles multiple shards and is configured for the JSON, Avro, or protobuf formats.
- For the MQTT connector/adapter, changed the mqttclientid parameter from required to optional to fix the handling of a null client ID.
- Removed the Twitter and Twitter Gnip adapters.
- For the Kafka and Kinesis subscriber connectors/adapters that write Avro, now ignores a delete event following an updateblock event.
- Fixed an issue in the router when using the writer destination.
- In the Kafka connector/adapter, fixed corruption of the avroschemaname configuration parameter value.
- Fixed a lack of responsiveness that stops the Kinesis connector/adapter.
- Fixed a lack of responsiveness when a connector is throttled.
- Now allows only adapter connectors to run code in the bin directory of the SAS Event Stream Processor home directory (DFESP_HOME).
- Fixed a lack of responsiveness in the adapter connector when a project is stopped via the REST application programming interface (API).
- Fixed an issue in the URL connector and the dfesp_xml_client when using an OpenResty/Nginx proxy.
- Fixed an issue in which the aggregate window is not defined with at least one key.
- Fixed an issue in the OPCUA connector when it stops after failing to connect to the OPCUA server.
- Fixed a Solace connector/adapter issue in which the publisher ignores the first message in a Solace queue.
- In the PI Web connector/adapter, fixed the authorization header when writing to PI using Basic or Bearer authentication.
Enhancements:
- Added a PI Web connector/adapter piauthmethod configuration parameter.
- Added a REST adapter tokeneventfield configuration parameter.
- Added a Kafka Connect sink connector.
- Added support for HTTP plug-in code.
- Added re-shard handling to the Kinesis publisher connector/adapter.
- Stopped the MQTT publisher when it is logging fatal errors.
- Stopped the PI subscriber when it is logging fatal errors.
- Added the QuasarDB connector and adapter.
- Added a RabbitMQ connector/adapter buspersistencenonexclusive configuration parameter.
- In the PI Web connector/adapter, now supports nesting in an afrootelement configuration parameter.
- Increased the default open file maximum from 5 to 100 and allowed the value to be set in the writer-destination XML element.
- Added Database connector/adapter configuration parameters repeatcount and repeatinterval.
- For Linux systems, SAS Event Stream Processing is now built on RHEL 7.
