Problem Note 66896: Inconsistent results are generated with the PROC SQL Median summary function

In SAS® 9.4M7 (TS1M7), it is possible that certain SQL procedure queries that use the Median summary function to compute the median of a column might generate incorrect results.
With this issue, there are two specific scenarios in which the inconsistent median values are generated. However, there are other possible scenarios in which the median might be computed incorrectly. Two types of queries with which problems have been found are listed here:
- PROC SQL queries that use the Median aggregate function to compute the median of a column and to create an SQL view
- PROC SQL queries that use the Median summary function while also remerging summary statistics with the original data
