Problem Note 66859: "Cannot find the requested data source" might occur when you migrate explorations from SAS® Visual Analytics 7.1 to SAS® Visual Analytics 7.5
When you migrate explorations from SAS Visual Analytics 7.1 to SAS Visual Analytics 7.5, the data source folder path might be incorrectly updated. You encounter the issue under the following conditions:
- You have an .spk package that contains explorations in which the Parent Folder name has the same name as the table name.
- You import the .spk package from SAS Visual Analytics 7.1 to SAS Visual Analytics 7.5.
For example, you encounter this issue if a table name is CARS and the folder structure looks similar to the following: /Shared Data/DATA/CARS. The result is that the imported exploration incorrectly references the /Shared Data/DATA folder instead of the correct /Shared Data/DATA/CARS folder path. The following error message is displayed when you try to view the exploration:
To work around this issue, complete these steps:
- Go into Edit Mode and select the Change menu item from the Data Pane menu item. This action opens the Change Data Source window.
- Reselect the table name and click OK.
