In SAS Real-Time Decision Manager, character lists are not selectable in scalar character input for Data Processes nodes of type Insert. Typically, browsing variables to assign as input variables for a data process shows only variables that are of the same data type. However, for Data Processes nodes of type Input, the application also should allow you to select not only the matching data type, but also the equivalent data type as a list. For example, you should be able to assign a variable of type Character List to an input of type Character. The issue is that the user interface prevents you from selecting lists when the input is scalar.
To work around this issue, create a DS2 SAS® process with lists as input that inserts the values.
