Usage Note 66797: A new capability in the SAS® Risk Governance Framework enables you to include a change reason in an email notification
A new capability in the SAS Risk Governance Framework enables you to include a change reason in an email notification that is sent through a policy in a workflow template.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After you install the hot fix, make the following changes to your workflow and notification templates to include a change reason in an email notification:
- Define a data object in your workflow template to contain the change reason text. The name of the data object should be prefix_CHANGE_REASON, where prefix is the appropriate prefix for your solution content. For example, define the MRM_CHANGE_REASON data object if you are using SAS® Model Risk Management. If you are using SAS® Risk Stratum, define the RGF_CHANGE_REASON data object.
- Specify the following attributes for the data object:
- fetchOrder - This numeric attribute tells the SAS Risk Governance Framework the change reason that should be used. A fetchOrder of 1 refers to the most recent change reason.
- userChangesOnly - This Boolean attribute, when set to true, tells the solution to retrieve the change reason for a user other than the administrator.
- Add the data object to the Send Workflow Notification policy in the workflow template, as shown in the example below:
- Add a reference to the change reason data object in the notification template, as shown below:
