Installation Note 66582: A hot fix enables the use of OpenSSL 1.1 with SAS® Data Management Server for secure communication
If you use SAS® Data Quality Server to communicate with SAS Data Management Server securely, third-party OpenSSL drivers are required. A hot fix enables a Microsoft Windows or UNIX system on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8+ platform that is running SAS Data Quality Server to select either OpenSSL 1.0 or 1.1.
A hot fix is planned for this issue.
The hot fix adds support for OpenSSL 1.1. It provides scripts that enable you to configure OpenSSL 1.1 for secure communication. Follow these steps after installing the hot fix:
- Confirm that your system is using 32-bit Windows, 64-bit Windows, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8+, and also that OpenSSL 1.1 is already installed and configured.
- Run the command set_ssl 1.1 from the command line (the exact location of the set_ssl script differs in Windows versus Linux).
- Restart SAS.
After you complete these steps, you can call the host name for the server by using "HTTPS."
