Problem Note 66563: Issues occur when you export SAS® Visual Analytics crosstab measure values to Microsoft Excel
When you export SAS Visual Analytics crosstab measure values to Excel, one of two issues might occur:
- The unformatted format values for the category are exported instead of a measure's actual value.
- Values for other measures might appear under the wrong column label.
This issue occurs when the following are true:
-
You use user-defined formats on category variables.
-
You set the Sort Options property in the category with user-defined formats to Unformatted.
-
You use a calculated item that is defined with aggregates measures in the table
Example
In this example, a user-defined format is defined in the Sex category:
1='Male'
2='Female'
3='Unknown'
In the Sex category, Sort options is set to Unformatted.
Calculated Item 2 is defined as an aggregated measure. In this scenario, two issues occur:
- The unformatted values for the Sex category are exported instead of the Calculated Item 2 values.
- The values for Calculated Item 2 are displayed under the incorrect column name (Frequency Percent).
