Problem Note 66368: The "Run" button might be grayed out when you add a filter within a task for a large data set
In SAS® Studio 5.2, the Run button might be grayed out when a filter is defined within a task. This problem occurs when the filter is defined on a very large data set. When the filter is created, a temporary copy of the data set is created in the Work directory. If the data set is very large, the temporary data set can fill up the Work directory, depending on the size of the directory. When this issue occurs, SAS Studio cannot run the task, which is why the Run button is grayed out, as shown below.
A possible circumvention for this problem is to increase the size of the Work directory.
Operating System and Release Information
SAS System | SAS Studio for Viya | Microsoft® Windows® for x64 | 5.2 | | Viya | |
Linux for x64 | 5.2 | | Viya | |
*
For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
The "Run" button might be grayed out when a filter is added within a task for a large data set, and the amount of space for the "Work" directory is not large enough to store a temporary copy of the data set.
