Problem Note 66254: Attempting to clone a Git repository on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) fails with the error "Unable to clone repository < name-of-repository >"
The following error is issued when you attempt to clone a Git repository in a SAS® 9.4M6 (TS1M6), SAS® Viya® 3.4, or SAS® Viya® 3.5 environment that is running on SLES:
Unable to clone repository "<name-of-repository>"
Also, the following messages are displayed in the ComputeServer*.log:
NOTE: libgit2.so not found in the system location, trying the extension path.
NOTE: libgit2.so not found in the system location, trying the install path.
ERROR: libgit2.so not found.
ERROR: Unable to load libgit2 module.
This problem occurs because additional libraries are needed for the SLES operating system. The necessary libraries are available for download from the Hot Fix tab. For SAS Viya 3.5, you can download the libraries on the Hot Fix tab for SAS Studio 3.81, because the libraries for SAS Studio 3.81 are the same libraries that are used in a SAS Viya 3.5 environment.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
