Problem Note 66884: SAS® Deployment Wizard fails during configuration of SAS® Environment Manager in a grid environment
During configuration of SAS Environment Manager, SAS Deployment Wizard fails with the following error:
java.lang.Exception: Failed To create ev initial User and Role:
The scope of this problem is limited to grid deployments. The complete error is shown in the following dialog box:
In addition, the following logon error is displayed when you access the SAS Environment Manager logon page (http:///evhost:7080, where evhost is the name of the host on which SAS Environment Manager is deployed):
The application is not authorized to use SAS Logon Manager.
This problem occurs when some metadata is not loaded into SAS Deployment Wizard.
To resolve this issue, restart the Logon Manager as described below:
- In the LAX operating environment: Open a terminal window and submit the following command:
SAS-configuration-directory/Lev1/Web/WebAppServer/SASServer1_1/bin/tcruntime-ctl.sh restart
- In Microsoft Windows operating environments:
- Open the Windows Services
- Select SASServer1_1 - WebAppSerer and click Restart.
In both cases, wait for the SAS® Web Application Server to be deployed fully and so that it is accepting connections. Then, click the Retry button in the blocked SAS Deployment Wizard configuration window.
This problem is resolved in SAS 9.4M6.
