Problem Note 65990: The simple.compare CAS action fails with an error when you compare CHAR variables to VARCHAR variables

When you use the simple.compare action to compare CHAR variables in one table to VARCHAR variables in another table, an error occurs:
ERROR: The columns varA in table1 and varA in table2 are to be compared,
but they have different value types (numeric vs. character), or different value
sizes.
