Problem Note 65927: The Copy Files task in SAS® Enterprise Guide® 8.2 fails with the message "ERROR: Target folder does not exist or cannot be accessed"
The Copy Files task in SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2 might fail with the following error:
ERROR: Target folder does not exist or cannot be accessed.
This error might occur when the SAS Enterprise Guide session has not started any connections to a SAS server.
For example, you encounter the issue when you perform steps similar to the following.
- You execute SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2 and add a Copy Files task.
- You try to upload a Microsoft Excel file from your local machine to either the Local or SASApp server. At this point, there is no connection to either server.
- When you execute the task, the following error occurs:
The error occurs because the Copy Files task in SAS Enterprise Guide 8.2 does not automatically connect to the Local or SASApp servers.
As a workaround, you could connect to the Local or SASApp server before executing the task.
