Problem Note 65723: Changes to properties in the SPD Server Table Loader transformation are not retained when saving a job
SAS® Data Integration Studio can experience issues with retaining changes while saving a job when the job contains an SPD Server Table Loader transformation. The issue occurs when you take the following steps:
- You previously edited and saved a job, and it contained an SPD Server Table Loader transformation at the time that the job was saved.
- You open this job and then open the properties for the SPD Server Table Loader transformation. You make changes to the properties and then select OK to commit those changes.
- You attempt to save the job.
- When an asterisk (*) follows the job name on the title bar of the job, the asterisk indicates that the job is in a changed state. However, after you click Save, you expect the asterisk to disappear because the changes are saved. In this scenario, however, the asterisk remains in place next to the name, indicating that the job was not saved successfully.
The only workaround for this issue is to remove the existing SPD Server Table Loader transformation and then replace it with a new version. You must then edit the properties as desired and save the job. Note: After you save the job, you cannot edit the properties for the SPD Server Table Loader transformation without encountering this issue again.
