Problem Note 65708: You select "Choose Columns" on the "Inputs and Outputs" tab in a Business Rule transformation, and column mappings are then lost
If you select Choose Columns on the Inputs and Outputs tab of a Business Rule transformation in a SAS® Data Integration Studio job, all the target columns are re-created automatically after you select OK to exit the Choose Columns process. This action occurs even when no changes are made. The re-creation process involves deleting all previous target columns and creating all new target columns. This deletion results in the loss of all column mappings that referenced these deleted columns.
This behavior does not occur when you select Cancel instead of OK when exiting Choose Columns.
After the mappings are lost, the only option is to re-create the lost mappings between the newly created columns and their intended targets.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
Any access to the "Choose Columns" section, even if no changes are made, can cause the removal of existing target columns and the creation of new target column objects. This action results in the loss of any mappings that referenced the deleted columns in subsequent job transformations.
