For a tagged PDF file that is created by the ODS PDF destination, the accessibility checker in Adobe Acrobat reports the error "List items—Failed" when the file meets these conditions:

• The file is created with the ACCESSIBLE argument in the ODS PDF statement, or the ACCESSIBLEPDF system option.
• The ODSLIST procedure is used to create a list in the file, and that file also contains a nested sublist. 
• At least two list items follow the nested sublist.

However, in the following list structure, items 4 and 5, which follow the nested sublist, have incorrect tags and thereby cause the error:

The incorrect tagging does not affect the ability of a screen reader to read the text. The screen reader reads the list in the correct order.
