Problem Note 65982: Saving SAS® Enterprise Guide® projects to a shared network drive might result in broken links in the process flow
In SAS Enterprise Guide, links between tasks might break in a specific scenario.
For example, you might encounter this issue if you perform steps similar to the following:
- Save your projects on a shared network drive.
- Another user opens your project, performs changes, and saves it.
- You reopen your project. You might see missing links between tasks and their input data sets.
Also, when the project is corrupted, if you try to edit tasks with broken links, they might fail with the following message:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
As a workaround, you might recreate links between tasks and input data sets.
This problem affects only SAS Enterprise Guide version 8.1.
