Problem Note 65961: A screen reader does not read content correctly from a tagged PDF file that contains text that wraps in a table cell
A screen reader does not read content correctly from a PDF file under the following conditions:
- The ACCESSIBLEPDF system option is in effect, or the ACCESSIBLE argument is specified in the ODS PDF FILE= statement.
- The PDF file has table cells that contain content that wraps within the cells.
A tagged PDF file that is created by the ODS destination contains instructions that guide a screen reader on how to read text in the PDF file out loud. However, when content wraps within a table cell in the PDF, the accessibility tag that is created for the cell removes the spaces incorrectly. The screen reader then reads the content from the cell as one long string without pauses, and it is difficult to understand the individual words.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
A table cell in a tagged PDF file that is created by the ODS destination has content that wraps within the cell. The accessibility tag that is created for that cell incorrectly removes the spaces between the words. Then the content in the cell is read as a long text string instead of separate words.
