Problem Note 65781: An HTTP 403 error occurs in SASĀ® Visual Investigator while REST API calls are processing alerts and workflows
When the application uses REST API calls to process alerts and workflows, internal metadata provides the set of authorizations for users.
If you are a non-administrator user who does not have proper authorization, you might still be able to try to process an unauthorized alert or workflow. You are not able to complete the process because it results in an HTTP 403 unauthorized error. However, you might be able to see information about metadata authorizations.
With the latest release update, internal code now better recognizes and manages metadata authorization for administrators versus non-administrators.
