During a SAS® 9.4 installation in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 operating environment, SAS Deployment Wizard stops responding during configuration of SAS Environment Manager. This problem occurs when you run the deployment wizard in background mode (&).
The problem occurs because the reset terminal command is called from the background. As a result, the configuration process does not have a proper controlling terminal from which to process the command.
To work around this problem, avoid launching SAS Deployment Wizard in background mode when you configure SAS Environment Manager in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 environment.
