Problem Note 64963: A SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager Filter node with Boolean criteria automatically has the "(Missing)" value added to it
In SAS Real-Time Decision Manager, when you have a Filter node that contains Boolean criteria, the value (Missing) is added to the properties. The value is added even though you do not select it.
For example, in the following Bool Properties dialog box, only the Yes value is selected. However, you can see that the (Missing) value is added to the Filter node.
To work around this issue, add another Filter node ahead of the original Filter node. Combining two Filter nodes in this way effectively acts like one Filter node that has a value of No only, even thought the (Missing) value is present in the filter.
To implement this workaround, follow these steps:
- Create a new Filter node that removes all the (Missing) values by using the not criteria. That is, set up this Filter node so that it only permits Yes or No values through.
- Create another Filter node that contains the Boolean value that you want (in the example below, the value is No). This Filter node includes the (Missing) value. However, This node does not have any effect because it comes after the first Filter node, which removes all the (Missing) values.
