Problem Note 64804: SAS® Visual Analytics takes longer than expected to identify correlated data items
Beginning with release 8.4, any measures that have at least a moderate degree of correlation with the selected measure are marked with a dot on the Data pane.
However, SAS Visual Analytics might take 25 seconds or more to identify the correlated data items. This problem occurs when the process that identifies the correlated items unexpectedly re-runs the full correlation instead of reusing cached information. Actions that cause the correlation to re-run include:
- Adding a data source to the report.
- Creating a calculated item.
- Deleting a calculated item.
Larger data sources cause a longer delay. In addition, these long-running calculations might cause other actions to perform more slowly than expected.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
Beginning with release 8.4, measures that have at least a moderate degree of correlation with the selected measure are marked with a dot on the Data pane. The identification might take 30 seconds or more, depending on the size of the data source.
