Problem Note 64460: You see a "driverClassName property is null" error in the server.log for SASServer8_1 when you use the SAS® Risk Governance Framework

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When your environment contains the SAS Risk Governance Framework and you start SASServer8_1, you might see the following error in the server.log file:

2018-08-21 17:11:35,437 WARN  (localhost-startStop-2)[org.apache.tomcat.jdbc.pool.PooledConnection] Not loading a JDBC driver as driverClassName property is null.
2018-08-21 17:11:35,439 ERROR (localhost-startStop-2)[org.apache.tomcat.jdbc.pool.ConnectionPool] Unable to create initial connections of pool.java.sql.SQLException: The url cannot be null

The error should not impact the operation of the SAS Risk Governance Framework.

To work around the problem, modify the web.xml file in the SAS-configuration-directory\Web\WebAppServer\SASServer8_1\sas_webapps\sas.riskgovernanceframework.war\WEB-INF directory. Change the value of the res-ref-name attribute for the ResourceRef_1 resource from RGFDataSource to jdbc/RGFDataSource, as shown below:

Change the following:

   <resource-ref id="ResourceRef_1">
          <res-ref-name>RGFDataSource</res-ref-name>
          <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
          <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>

to:

   <resource-ref id="ResourceRef_1">
          <res-ref-name>jdbc/RGFDataSource</res-ref-name>
          <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
          <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>

After making the change, restart SASServer8_1.
