Problem Note 64387: The APPEND procedure generates the error "Cannot insert into readonly column column-ID" when you access data through SAS® Federation Server

You use the option IGNORE_READ_ONLY_COLUMNS=YES with the SAS Federation Server LIBNAME engine for a database management system (DBMS) that supports that capability. However, when you use PROC APPEND with this option, the following error appears in the SAS® log:
ERROR: CLI prepare error: Cannot insert into readonly column "column-name"
To work around this error, use the native LIBNAME engine instead of the SAS Federation Server LIBNAME engine.
