Problem Note 64327: Creating suppression rules in SAS® Marketing Optimization fails when you use the search box

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When you create suppression rules in SAS Marketing Optimization, a failure occurs and the following error is generated in a pop-up window:

One or more attribute names do not exist for this scenario

This problem happens when you perform steps similar to the following:

  1. In a scenario, navigate to the Suppression Rules dialog box and create a Communication filter or a Customer filter. This example creates a Communication filter.
  2. In the search field of the Select Attribute dialog box that is displayed, enter a value (for example, FLG).
  3. Select the FLG_CLAIMS field and enter a value of 1, Then click OK. This search works fine.
  4. Then, in the search field, enter PORT and click ENTER.
  5. Select the FLG_PORTFOLIO_CLEANING field and enter a value. Then, click OK, as shown below:

Select Attribute dialog box with FLG_PORTFOLIO_CLEANING field selected

When you perform these steps, this second search fails and the error mentioned earlier in this note is displayed:

To work around this issue, use the slider on the right side to find the values or use only one letter in the search field to select the attribute that you want.

Note: The slider is only visible when you have more than one attribute.

The same problem occurs if you use the steps above to create a Customer filter.
