When displaying a SAS^® Visual Analytics report in SAS Report Viewer, you might experience delays under these conditions: 

• Your report contains parameters that are set by prompts.
• Those parameters are referenced on multiple pages of the report. For example, they are referenced in calculated items or local filters. 

When you change parameter values, data requests are executed for all relevant objects throughout the entire report rather than just on the page that you are actively viewing. These additional requests can create delays in processing the queries for the report objects on the visible page while the application waits for the background queries to finish. Further interactions with the report might take longer and longer to complete if the interactions are executed before the background queries complete.
