When certain versions of SAS Embedded Process are installed for use with Teradata or Greenplum data, DS2 and FEDSQL procedures and DATA step code can fail. Long-running jobs where programs are compiled many times consume extra memory.

The relevant SAS Embedded Process versions are those that have file names that contain the version number 13 (for example, sepcoretera-13.00000-1.sh) or a higher version number.

Here is an example of this issue.

You call a Teradata table, SAS_SYSFNLIB.SAS_SCORE_EP, created in SAS^® Scoring Accelerator for Teradata, in a Basic Teradata Query (BTEQ).

The following error then occurs in the Teradata Database Query Log (DBQL):

The following failure notice also appears in the BTEQ log:

A workaround is to free up memory by restarting the SAS Embedded Process before running a new program.
