Problem Note 64549: A model creation, model data import, or calculation fails with the error message “Unexpected Error,” with the detail “std::exception”
When a SAS® Cost and Profitability Management environment is installed on Red Hat Linux releases later than 6.5, creating a new model or importing model data to an existing model can fail with an unexpected error message that contains the detail “std::exception.” Other operations, such as cost calculation, that make changes to model contents might also exhibit this error.
In SAS® Cost and Profitability Management 8.4, edit the settings.xml file and set the value of the StartAddress property to 4TB, as follows:
<StartAddress>4TB</StartAddress>
The settings.xml file is located here:
SAS-configuration-directory\Lev1\SASApp\ABMServer\config\
Restart the SAS Object Spawner to put the new property setting into effect.
Releases of SAS Cost and Profitability Management earlier than 8.4 must be installed on the 6.5 release of Red Hat Linux, or they must be upgraded to the 8.4 release with the above property setting applied.
