Problem Note 63626: Running a Dynamic Lift report fails with errors "Missing numeric suffix on a numbered variable list ... ending column position before starting ..."
In SAS® Model Manager, running a Dynamic Lift report might fail. Errors like these are displayed in the corresponding SAS log:
169 put 'LIBNAME testlib HADOOPuri='jdbc:hive2://server
_port/
schema_name;';
ERROR: Missing numeric suffix on a numbered variable list(server_name).
ERROR: The ending column position 2 is before the starting column position 230.
The problem occurs when these conditions are true:
- The table that is used for the report is from a SAS library.
- The SAS library definition contains both single and double quotation marks. Example:
LIBNAME testlib HADOOP uri='jdbc:hive2://server:port/value;auth=kerberos;principal=..' SERVER="server" HDFS_TEMPDIR="/tmp" CREATE_TABLE_OPTS='STORED AS PARQUET TBLPROPERTIES("parquet.compression"="SNAPPY")' PORT=15452 SERVER=HaddoopHOST ;
