Problem Note 63303: The incorrect channel name is displayed in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio after you add a new channel

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When you add a channel by using SAS® Customer Intelligence Utilities, the channel is added. However, SAS Customer Intelligence Studio does not display the correct channel name. Instead, the channel name for another existing channel is displayed, as shown below:

This problem happens when the channel that you add has the same channel code as an existing channel code, with the exception of the underscore prefix. The following example shows what happens when you add a new channel called AG Channel and you use an existing channel code without the prefix. Notice the internal channel ID (_id) is one of an existing channel code.

sasciutils -addchannel -debug -code "AG" -name "AG Channel" -userid sascisvc@saspw -password XXXXX

2018-11-26 14:51:39: Adding channel with code AG - this can take few minutes.
2018-11-26 14:51:39:    DEBUG: Channel to be added - ChannelDefinitionDO: _id=[_AG], _label=[AG Channel], _name=[AG Channel], _code=[AG], _tooltip=[Communication], iconPath=[res/Communication.gif], _defType=[0], _visible=[true], _sortOrder=[49]

2018-11-26 14:51:42: Channel with code AG and name AG Channel added to the channel list.

To work around this problem, avoid using an existing channel code.
