Problem Note 63241: The Application Server stops responding when you use the Refresh Application Server option

When you use the Refresh Application Server option under the following conditions, the call does not work and the application server stops responding:
- The application server that is being refreshed is not known by the object spawner.
- The application server contains a load-balanced workspace server definition with multiple machines associated.
- There are multiple object spawners that are running in the environment that the load-balanced workspace server is configured to run on.
The issue occurs when you refresh the application server using either SAS® Management Console or IOMOPERATE procedure code.
When the server stops responding, you must manually stop the client application that performs the refresh.
To work around this issue, use the Refresh Spawner option instead of the Refresh Application Server option.
