A user can click the arrowhead icon next to an account name to create valid assignments. However, an issue occurs in a model created in SAS^® Cost and Profitability Management with three or more user-defined (not standard activity-based management) modules. The issue occurs for intramodule assignments as well as cross-module assignments.

After the user clicks to create the assignment, the action fails to create the assignment and returns the following error:

The error is caused by the validation of the creation of the assignment. During the validation, an incorrect property is compared. The issue can occur for modules that are nonconsecutive.

In SAS® Cost and Profitability Management models created with multiple user-defined modules, attempting to manually create assignments can return the error "Missing messages key 'E_ASSIGNMENT_FORWARD_DIRECTION_ONLY.txt.'"
