Usage Note 63350: "Bulk load directory does not exist" and other errors occur when you use BULKLOAD=YES with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Impala

When using SAS/ACCESS Interface to Impala with bulk loading, you can receive the following error:
ERROR: java.io.EOFException: End of File Exception between local host is: "<server-name>/<IP-Address>"; destination

ERROR: CLI execute error: bulk load directory '/tmp' does not exist
The problem occurs even when you have Write access to the directory and the directory exists. If you do not use bulk loading, the table is created.
The problem occurs because Impala bulk loading uses Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS). On certain versions of Cloudera, there is a problem with this behavior that appears to be a Java classpath issue.
To circumvent the problem, make a copy of the core-site.xml file and move it into the SAS_HADOOP_JAR_PATH directory.
