Problem Note 63281: Uno's concordance statistic and standard error are incorrect for certain CLASS statement options in PROC PHREG

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When you specify the CONCORDANCE=UNO(SE) option in the PROC PHREG statement, the results are incorrect under either of these conditions:

  • You designate the first ordered level as the reference for a variable in the CLASS statement.
  • The PARAM=GLM option is specified in the CLASS statement.

The first ordered level is the reference when you specify the CLASS statement variable option REF=FIRST or REF='level' using the lowest level value.

To circumvent the problem, do not designate the first ordered level as the reference and do not use the GLM parameterization method. For additional ways of setting the desired reference level for CLASS variables, see Usage Note 37108.

You can also avoid the problem by specifying the NOFIT option in the MODEL statement and using the ROC statement to fit the model instead.
