Installation Note 63253: Migrated instances are incorrectly marked out of date when you migrate from SAS® Infrastructure for Risk Management 3.3 to 3.4
When you migrate from SAS Infrastructure for Risk Management 3.3 to 3.4, migrated instances are incorrectly marked out of date.
For a multi-tier install, the following workaround exists. Perform the migration as documented in the SAS® Infrastructure for Risk Management 3.4 Administrator's Guide with one change. Copy the source Federated Areas and Persistent Area to the target after the install/configure of the target server. You should copy them before the SAS® Deployment Wizard is started on the middle tier, instead of copying them after the SAS Deployment Wizard is started.
For a single-machine installs, no workaround exists. Out-of-date instances must be rerun after migration.
