In SAS^® Viya^®, CAS processes should be performed using the shared 'cas' operating system account. However, when a user ID is a member of the CASHostAccountRequired group, the processes are performed using that user ID's operating system account. As a result, permission problems can occur within multiple Model Studio applications.  You might be unable to create or work with SAS^® Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning, SAS^® Visual Text Analytics, or SAS^® Visual Forecasting projects.

SAS Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning

Running a pipeline with sample data (example: HMEQ) results in a partitioning error. 

INFO: The partition table was not loaded into CAS for the project

SAS Visual Text Analytics

Creating a project results in an error:

Project creation failed with: creatingProviderError

Could not close cas client.

SAS Visual Forecasting

Modifying variables results in an error:

You do not have permission to access ^_ATTRIBUTES%. (2-1-2710191)

Error Code: 409
