Problem Note 62683: "ERROR: Unable to transcode data..." occurs when you use SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Netezza and the data contains special Latin characters
When working with Netezza data tables, you receive an error similar to "ERROR: Unable to transcode data, status=0x803FE807" under the following conditions:
- You move data between a Unicode encoded database table and a Latin encoded SAS® session.
- You use special Latin characters, such as the euro sign (€).
Also, some Netezza NVARCHAR and NCHAR data could be imported with an expanded length of up to four times the original size.
To work around this issue, match the SAS session encoding to the database encoding.
