Problem Note 62675: Validation fails with the message "The local SAS Environment Agent is not properly initialized" when you enable the EMI framework
When you enable the EMI framework in SAS® Environment Manager, the validate.sh or validate.bat files might fail. This problem occurs when the machine on which the validation process is executed has multiple, local IP addresses. When this scenario happens, the following message is generated:
Service Architecture validation completed with 1 error(s)
Errors:
1) The local SAS Environment Agent is not properly initialized. Check the agent log file at /sasshare/sasconfig/comp/Lev1/Web/SASEnvironmentManager/agent-5.8.0-EE/log/agent.log. Restarting the agent may resolve the issue.
This problem occurs even if the custom.local.ips= parameter is defined in the agent.properties file that resides in the SAS-configuration-directory/Lev1/Web/SASEnvironmentManager/agent-5.8.0-EE/conf/ directory.
You can confirm that the problem is truly related to multiple, local IP addresses by checking the validation output, as shown in the example below. This output shows similar messages to the one above if multiple, local IP addresses are the problem.
