Problem Note 62643: The error "...java.util.concurrent.TimeoutException Could not open connection..." occurs when you try to connect to Hadoop
When you try to create a LIBNAME connection to Hadoop and it takes longer than 30 seconds, the LIBNAME assignment fails with an error similar to the following:
ERROR: java.util.concurrent.TimeoutException
Could not open connection to
jdbc:hive2://bigdata01.pays.com:10000/default;principal=hive/_HOST@BIGDATA.PAYS.COM. Check your Hive server status.
ERROR: Error trying to establish connection.
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.
This issue occurs because the default value of the LOGIN_TIMEOUT= LIBNAME option is 30 seconds, and it cannot be overridden.
This issue affects SAS® 9.4 TS1M4 and SAS® 9.4 TS1M5.
