Problem Note 62582: You encounter performance issues when you try to get a list of tables or views using the FEDSVR LIBNAME engine

When you try to access a library with more than 4,000 views or tables using the FEDSVR LIBNAME engine, you encounter slow performance. In this scenario, it might take up to two minutes to load the data in either SAS® Explorer or SAS® Enterprise Guide®.
For example, you encounter this issue when you submit code similar to the following:
libname fedlib fedsvr dsn="BASE-View" server="server-name" port=port-number schema='schema-name';
proc datasets lib=fedlib;
quit;
proc datasets lib=fedlib;
quit;
