Problem Note 62082: The metadata-generation job "Create job for scheduling" fails when you attempt to open the job's properties

When you attempt to open the properties for the Create job scheduling metadata-generation job that is sent to the Schedule Manager through SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, the job fails and the following error is generated:

Detected errors for the deployed flow "XXX"(Metadata error: The deployed job ("XXX") is not associated with a job object. Correct the error using the "Set SAS Job Association" action in Schedule Manager on the deployed job.)  

The error occurs when you follow these steps:

  1. Log on to SAS Customer Intelligence Studio.
  2. Select Setup ► Business Contexts.
  3. Open a business context and click the Metadata tab.
  4. On the Metadata tab, click Create Job for Scheduling.
  5. Log on to SAS® Management Console.
  6. Navigate to Schedule Manager. 
  7. Right-click to create a new flow with the job that you created previously.
  8. Right-click the new flow and select Properties.

When you select Properties, the following error is displayed:

To work around this problem and to schedule the metadata-generation job, use the Launcher application (a command-line utility).
