Problem Note 62053: A flash error occurs when you use the table import function to create a new SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager event definition

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

A dialog box with the following error is displayed if you import a table using the Import Variables function when you create a new SAS Real-Time Decision Manager event definition in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio:

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at com.sas.ci.cm.view.definition.event:EventMediator/

This error occurs when you perform the following steps:

  1. In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, select Definitions ► Decision ► Events.
  2. Create a new event.
  3. Navigate to the Request Variables page and click the Import Variables icon.
  4. In the Select Table dialog box, select a table and click OK. When you click OK at this point, nothing happens.

If you click OK a second time, the error shown above is displayed. When you click OK the first time, the correct middle-tier calls are made. However, the application does not close the Select Table dialog box. So you must click OK a second time. Because the calls have already been made, clicking OK the second time causes the error.
