Problem Note 62830: Workspace server process identifiers are not displayed under the correct machine definition in SAS® Management Console
In SAS Management Console, an issue exists in which workspace server process identifiers are displayed incorrectly. With this issue, the workspace server process identifiers are shown as running under one machine definition when they are actually executing on different hosts.
The problem occurs when workspace servers are configured to be launched by the grid. In this scenario, the object spawner that creates the grid job can be running on a different machine from the machine where the grid dispatched the grid job to start the workspace server process.
When you encounter this issue, the workspace server process identifier is listed in SAS Management Console under the machine definition where the object spawner that created the grid job is executing. In SAS® 9.4M5 (TS1M5), the issue has been addressed by including the host name that the workspace server process is running on next to the process ID (PID) information, as shown in the image below:
