The SAS FedSQL SUM function returns incorrect results when the sum of integers is outside of the supported integer range.
For information about the FedSQL data types, including the supported range of integer values, see the "Data Types" section in SAS 9.4 FedSQL Language Reference.

After you apply the hot fix, instead of receiving an incorrect result, an error message is written to the SAS log stating that the SUM function result is out of range.
Update Your Software to Fix This Issue
The correction for the issue is to update your version of SAS® Viya®. A link to the instructions about how to access and apply the software update is available on the Hot Fix tab.
Verify That the Update Has Been Installed
To verify that the fix is installed, run the following rpm commands:
rpm -q sas-tktslang
rpm -q sas-crsfedsql
To complete this process, make sure that the package versions shown in the rpm output either match or are newer than the following:
sas-tktslang-03.11.01-20180613.165655100962.x86_64
sas-crsfedsql-01.11.01-20180613.171152007516.x86_64
