Problem Note 62470: The CAUSALMED procedure reports incorrect p-values for the odds ratios
When a binary outcome variable is used, PROC CAUSALMED reports an incorrect p-value for each of the following odds ratios (OR) in the Summary of Effects table:
- Odds Ratio Total Effect
- Odds Ratio Controlled Direct Effect (CDE)
- Odds Ratio Natural Direct Effect (NDE)
- Odds Ratio Natural Indirect (NIE)
The p-values reported are associated with the test that the odds ratio is equal to zero rather than equal to one.
The confidence intervals are correct and should be used instead of the tests. There is no workaround for getting the proper test of OR=1.
