Focus might be lost in the Server Files and Folders tab or in the Libraries tab in the Navigation pane.
1. When you access files through the Server Files and Folders tab under the Navigation pane in SAS Studio, the current focus in the folder tree might be lost when you perform certain actions with files and folder shortcuts. These actions include
The focus might be lost completely, or it might jump to another folder. This issue occurs when the folders that are open in the folder tree have pathnames whose total length nears 4,000 bytes.
The following screen shot shows a number of long folder names open in the Navigation pane with focus on the folder TestFolder. When the changed version of the program, Testclass.sas, is saved, the focus is lost on that folder, and in fact, does not exist anywhere in the folder tree.
To circumvent the problem, close folders that are not being used so that the program can be saved.
2. When you access tables through the Libraries tab, focus is lost when you refresh the Libraries tree. If you have selected a table, and then press the Refresh icon, you are brought back to the top of the tree and the table is no longer selected.
There is currently no circumvention for this second problem on SAS® Studio 3.4 or SAS® Studio 3.5.
For SAS® Studio Enterprise (Mid-Tier) or Basic edition:
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for both of these issues. There is no hot fix available for SAS Studio 3.4 or 3.5.
Note: If you used a hot fix method (referenced in SAS Note 57898) to enhance your SAS Studio 3.4 or SAS Studio 3.5 to have SAS® Studio 3.6 functionality, your release is based on your installed release version, which will differ from the information in About SAS Studio.
To check your installed release version, go to one of the following directory paths. Your installed release version is the 3.x number:
SASHOME/SASStudioMidTier/3.x
or
SASHOME/SASStudioBasic/3.x
Also, if the following error message is generated when you apply the SAS Studio 3.6 hot fix, you might have already used the hot fix method to enhance your SAS Studio 3.4 or SAS Studio 3.5 to have SAS Studio 3.6 functionality. Check your installed release version as noted above:
For SAS® Studio Single-User edition:
You can determine whether you are running SAS Studio Single-User from the edition displayed in the About SAS Studio page, or by the fact that you launch SAS Studio from a shortcut on the Windows Start menu.
You can download the updated version of SAS Studio Single-User from our Downloads page.
For SAS® Studio 4.3 (SAS® Viya®) in Linux operating environments only:
