Problem Note 61817: A mixed case misspelling of a user ID might log a user on as an "Unauthorized User" in SAS® Merchandise Intelligence
In SAS® Merchandise Intelligence, a mixed case misspelling of a user ID might log a user on as an "Unauthorized User."
For example, if a logon is performed with the User ID "sasMi", the system might allow the misspelled user ID to access the solution as an "Unauthorized user." If this issue is encountered, the client displays "Unauthorized user" on the bottom right corner of the information line.
When this issue occurs, the incorrect user ID might cause user filters to be ignored and might not display the Plans or Profiles owned by the proper User ID.
Workaround
In SAS® Management Console, you can work around the issue by adding the com.sas.solutions.di.server.security.casesensitive property and setting the value to true. Complete the following steps:
- Navigate to Application Management ► Configuration Manager ► SAS Application Infrastructure ► Merchandise Intell Mid-Tier 5.4.
- Right-click and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
- Add the com.sas.solutions.di.server.security.casesensitive property in the Property Name field.
- Add true in the Property Value field.
- Recycle your SAS Servers for the change to take effect.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
