Problem Note 61393: Count(*) returns incorrect and random results for a UNION ALL query between two tables
In SAS® Federation Server 4.2, the data returned from count(*) might be incorrect and random even when the underlying table data did not change. This problem occurs when you perform a count(*) in a view that selects from a view that performs a UNION ALL of two other views.
If you put all of the data in a single catalog, you always get the correct count. When the schemas are split across multiple catalogs, you might receive incorrect and random values for count(*).
