Problem Note 61299: In SAS® Enterprise Guide®, the Send to Excel feature might not format all records when sending views or DBMS data
When sending data from SAS Enterprise Guide to Microsoft Excel using the Send to Excel feature, some of the data might not be formatted. For example, some rows might show correct formats while other rows do not. This formatting problem has been identified on date and datetime variables. When this problem exists, Excel does not show correct datetime values.
To circumvent the issue, you can do one of the following:
- Open the data in the data grid and scroll until the last record in the data.
- For DBMS only, set the following options under Tools ► Options ►Data ►Data General:
- Always obtain the total record count for DBMS tables to True
- Maximum number of rows to display in the data grid with SAS/ACCESS data to No limit or to a value greater than the number of records in your table
Depending on the amount of data contained in the data source, scrolling to the last record might take a long time. The second option increases the time that it takes to open large tables because all of the records must be scanned.
